Beethoven's Fifth! Performed by world-class musicians

MILTON, GA – February 10, 2026 – Music Milton celebrated a momentous evening of classical music with Beethoven’s Greatest “5ths” on February 7, 2026, welcoming an enthusiastic crowd of over 220 attendees. The performance by world-class musicians earned a rousing standing ovation, underscoring the organization's commitment to bringing "Great Music Close to Home."
The masterful concert featured the sublime music of Ludwig van Beethoven, focusing on his fifth sonatas and symphony. The program included the lyrical Violin Sonata #5 – Spring Sonata, the dramatic Cello Sonata #5 in D Major, and the powerful Symphony #5 for Piano Four Hands. The acclaimed ensemble included David Coucheron, concertmaster of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, on violin; Charae Krueger, principal cellist for both the Atlanta Opera and Atlanta Ballet Orchestras; and the renowned pianists William Ransom and Julie Coucheron.
The evening also served as a major launching point for Music Milton’s future. Founder and President Ron Gilbert and Artistic Director William Ransom announced the organization’s highly anticipated second season and officially kicked off its first fundraising campaign. With a goal of $100,000, additional funds will help with an expansion of the concert season and additional educational programs for area youth. Music Milton’s first season success highlights the community's desire for high-caliber, locally accessible music and sets the stage for exciting growth.

Music Milton’s Vega Quartet Delights and Educates Students at Two Fulton County Elementary Schools


MILTON, GA – January 26, 2026 – Music Milton, a nonprofit committed to creating exceptional experiences and building community around music, successfully presented The Vega Quartet to students at Cogburn Woods Elementary School and Manning Oaks Elementary School on January 22, 2026.
Two schools in the Fulton County School system were treated to an exciting school performance and educational program led by The Vega Quartet, the quartet-in-residence at Emory University. During the program, the musicians educated the students on the nuances of how a string quartet works together, explained the function of their instruments, and performed exceptional pieces from composers including Antonio Lucio Vivaldi, Ludwig van Beethoven and Maurice Ravel.

The performance and educational discussion covered quartet music throughout the centuries, passing through Europe, China, and America, successfully piquing the students’ interest both musically and historically.
The Vega Quartet, Atlanta's first and only professional string quartet, continues to cultivate a new generation of chamber music lovers through dynamic performances and innovative community engagement.

We welcomed Old Saint Nick himself to introduce some of his favorite classical works and give treats to good listeners! He also lead a singalong of favorite Holiday songs. The Eight Seasons (11.1.25)
Vivaldi’s ever-popular Four Seasons interspersed with Astor Piazzolla’s beautiful and sultry tango-inspired Four Seasons of Buenos Aires.
What a night! Our Nov. 1st Eight Seasons concert was everything we hoped for — electric playing, a packed house, and an audience that clearly felt the music.

Robert McDuffie and William Ransom - One Enchanting Evening (9.19.25)
Music Milton’s Very First Concert opened with spellbinding performances by world-renowned violinist Robert McDuffie and pianist William Ransom. The evening’s program brimmed with virtuosity and heart—Tartini’s dramatic Devil’s Trill Sonata, romantic works by Brahms and DvoÅ™ák, Kreisler’s old-world charm, and stirring modern gems by John Williams and Gershwin.

The City Hall setting created a warm, welcoming atmosphere where guests lingered over appetizers and beverages, shared lively conversations, and enjoyed easy access to the artists themselves. Many took the opportunity to meet and talk with McDuffie and Ransom after the performance, making this first Music Milton concert not just a remarkable program but a true gathering of music lovers.


Zuill Bailey, Master Cellist, Inspires Children (9.4.25)
For the inaugural community event, Music Milton teamed up with two schools in the Fulton County Schools system — Crabapple Crossing Elementary and Summit Hill Elementary — and featured learning experiences geared to Milton-area youth. Students were treated to an intimate school performance by Zuill Bailey, a cellist extraordinaire and a GRAMMY Award-winning artist. During the performance, he talked about starting to learn the cello at age 4, the direction he received from his musician parents and the music he now plays. He also talked about his instrument - a 325-year-old cello.
